Omotesando

Explore High-End Boutiques, Galleries, Architecture, Urban History & Independent Shops

Omotesando is one of Tokyo’s most famous neighborhoods, but have you ever wondered why so many global luxury brands chose world-renowned architects to design their flagship stores? Or why the district is called Omotesando in the first place?

By exploring these questions, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Japan’s relationship with the rest of the world, how Japan’s economy since the 2000s has shaped its culture, why long-established independent shops continue to thrive alongside luxury brands, and the hidden shrines beyond Meiji Jingu that most visitors never notice.

We’ll visit remarkable architecture, galleries, shrines, and independent shops, with plenty of time to browse inside the buildings themselves. If available during your visit, we may also stop by exhibitions hosted by luxury fashion brands.

Meeting Point: Omotesando Station
End Point: Around Harajuku Station
